Investment Rationale
We focus on value of a business and not the price. Price of a stock is a function of intrinsic value of underlying business and market sentiments. For a good business, intrinsic value doesn’t swing too much from year to year, but market sentiments does and hence the stock price
We focus on earnings growth and firmly believe that valuation must follow earnings at some point in time. Every good business has its own pace of growth and that doesn’t changes too much with the economy. The earnings for a good business do not oscillate too much from year to year, but stock price does. We remain buyer for these businesses when market sentiments are bad and prices are depressed
We are not interested in cheap stocks because cheap can become cheaper and history has plenty of such examples. We are interested only in quality stocks available at reasonable valuation. Please see our investment philosophy
Consistent compounding is the theme for our investments. What looks multibagger over the years is actually a result of consistent compounding over the years. If we are able to compound our wealth at 25% per annum, we are actually having a 10 bagger in 10 years !!!
